If a shaped cushion is required, we will need a template of your outer case. We will then make the required allowances to ensure that the filling fits the case .
Patterns can be very easily made from all kinds of paper; brown, plain, wrapping, wall and newspaper or even polythene.
To make a pattern, just use the following step by step instructions!
- Lay a sheet of paper on a flat surface and place your cushion case on top of the paper.
- Draw a line around the cushion and cut out the shape.
- Test that your pattern fits.
- The pattern must be symmetrical (left side the same as the right).To equally balance your pattern, simply fold down the middle, cutting where necessary. It may need a couple of attempts before you are satisfied with the drawing of your pattern. Your new cushion will be cut to exactly the same shape as your finished pattern, so please double check the pattern to your cushion.
- Please mark your pattern with:-
- your name and address
- details of cushions required (type of filling, seat or back, where the top is etc.)
When you have completed your templates or measurements, send them to us.
